The second edition of the Legends League Cricket kicked off with a special match in Kolkata on 16 September 2022. In that match, India Maharajas defeated World Giants by six wickets. On 17 September, the tournament kicked off with four teams. As of now, two teams have played two matches each.

While the other two teams played one match each. As of now, Gujarat Giants are setting at the top of the table with two wins out of two. On the other hand, Manipal Tigers are at the bottom with two losses. But, there are some players who have surprised fans with their performance in this year’s tournament.

Kevin O’Brien

This Irish batter has been enjoying a good tournament so far. Kevin O’Brien has scored 129 runs in two matches, at an average of 64.50. In the first match of this tournament, India Capitals took on Gujarat Giants in Kolkata. India Capitals scored 179 runs in 20 overs by losing seven wickets in that match.

In reply, Kevin O’Brien came out to open for Gujarat Giants. He scored 106 runs off 61 balls, including 15 fours and three sixes. Kevin smashed those runs at a strike rate of 173.77. His inning helped Gujarat to win that tournament opener with ease. They chased down the target with eight balls and three wickets to spare.
