Ahead of the home T20I series against England, Aaqib Javed took a sarcastic dig on the Pakistan skipper. He said that in the Pakistan T20 League, they don’t look to take the wicket of Babar Azam when they face Karachi. In the recently concluded Asia Cup, Azam scored only 68 runs in six matches.
In recent times, Babar’s strike rate has raised questions among fans. While speaking to Sports Paktv, Aaqib Javed said: “When we play against Karachi and we have a total of 180 or so, we have never tried too hard or wanted too badly to get Babar Azam out. Because he plays at his own pace and the required rate keeps increasing.”
