After a poor show in the Asia Cup 2022, India is now looking for redemption in the upcoming 20-20 World Cup. However, ahead of that, they will get to play two three-match T20I series against Australia and South Africa respectively on home soil. Meanwhile, on 12 September, the Indian Cricket Board announced the final squad for those series and the World Cup.

There were no such surprises as all the expected names were seen. But, still, some fans felt that there are some names that might deserve a place ahead of some players. According to them, the inclusion of those players could enhance India’s chances with the next edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

Here are the five players who might deserve a place in the final squad of India for the 20-20 World Cup

In the recently concluded Asia Cup, Indian bowlers performed terribly. It was their bowling that let them down rather than their batting. Ahead of that tournament, Jasprit Bumrah got injured and ruled out. Hence, ahead of the 20-20 World Cup, people were expecting this veteran pacer to get a place in the final squad.

Speaking about Mohammed Shami, he last played in a T20I match in the last year’s 20-20 World Cup. Since then, team management and selectors did not even consider him for this format of the game. But, again, they did not consider him in the final squad. He will travel to Australia but as one of the four stand-by players.
