This batter of the Hyderabad franchise is another player who got ignored from the WI tour. After his impressive performance in the Indian T20 League, he was expected to get an India call-up in the home series against the Proteas. But, he did not as he was called for the Ireland tour only.
Rahul Tripathi was part of the squad for the first T20I against England also. But, again he got dropped without having any chance of showcasing his potential in the International arena. He only played a warm-up T20 game against Northampton, scoring only seven runs. His batting style can be a good addition to the India squad’s middle order for the next T20 World Cup in Australia.
