6 Indian Players With Whom MS Dhoni Was Involved In A Rumoured Rift

MS Dhoni is known as one of the most decorated cricketers in Indian cricket history. He helped India in winning major titles across all three formats. Apart from being a successful leader, he also contributed to some important runs as an individual batter.

Virender Sehwag

This former veteran cricketer also had a rumoured rift with MS Dhoni. During the Tri-series in 2012 in Australia, Dhoni decided to rotate experienced players like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Gautam Gambhir. However, it did not go well with the media as they came out with a rift story between those players and Dhoni.

Speaking of that incident, Virender Sehwag opened up in a program at Cricbuzz in 2022. Sehwag added: “When MS Dhoni said in Australia that the top three are slow fielders, we were never asked or consulted. We got to know from the media. He said at the press conference but not at the team meeting that we are slow fielders,”
