In cricket, players have always looked to deliver their best on the field for their respective teams. Apart from batting and bowling, fielding is also an essential part of the game for players. Catches are also important as those help teams in taking wickets. 

But, sometimes, players have missed some important catches which have cost them matches for their teams. Even, though fans did not love such incidents as it cost those teams a loss.

Here are six instances where players drop some catches and it cost their teams a loss

This incident took place when India took on Pakistan in the ‘Super Four’ of the Asia Cup 2022. India batted first and scored 181 runs for seven wickets. Virat Kohli scored 60 runs off 44 balls in that match. In response, Pakistan batters started the chase with some stability. But, Babar Azam gout out early in that match.

Rizwan scored 71 runs off 51 balls. Asif Ali came out to bat in the middle order. Ravi Bishnoi came up to bowl in the 18th over. Asif Ali tried to hit him for a six. But, he ended up getting an edge only. The catch was going to Arshdeep but, he failed to grab that one. Thus, Asif Ali got a lifeline and he played a vital knock in Pakistan’s win over India.
