Shane Warne wants England to make four changes in Melbourne Test

England are having a torrid outing in the Ashes. After a humiliating loss in the first Test, they suffered another crushing loss by 275 runs in Adelaide. Neither the batters nor bowlers have been able to make any sort of impact in the series so far.

England have made some surprising calls in the series. They didn’t play their ace bowlers Stuart Broad and James Anderson in Brisbane and in the second game, they went in without a specialist spinner. Meanwhile, former Australia great Shane Warne has suggested four changes for England in the third Test. Warne said he wants to see Zak Crawley, Jonny Bairstow, Jack Leach and Mark Wood in the playing XI for the third Test.

Crawley made a scintillating start to his Test career and scored a double hundred on debut against Pakistan in 2020. However, he has been very inconsistent since then. Bairstow, on the other hand, has six Test centuries to his name but is going through an extended lean patch.

‘Congrats to the Aussies on a hard-fought win,’ Warne posted on social media. ‘England have a lot to do heading to Melbourne as they are now 2-0 down.

‘They must start by picking the correct team including a spinner for the conditions. Crawley, Wood, Bairstow and Leach would make my team.’

Meanwhile, Australia too will welcome skipper Pat Cummins back into the team. Pacer Josh Hazlewood, who was ruled out of the second Test owing to a side strain might also be back.
