 ‘A dominant performance’ – Fans Heap Praises After India’s Trashing Win Over West Indies In The Fourth T20I

After winning the third T20I match of the series, India took on West Indies on 6 August 2022 in Lauderhill, Florida. However, India was already leading this five-match series by 2-1 before this match. Hence, Rohit Sharma and his boys were looking to wrap up the series by winning the match. On the other hand, West Indies was looking to make it 2-2 with one more match to go.

Meanwhile, the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma was a doubt for this match after his sustained injury during the third T20I. But, Indian fans became happy when they saw him coming out for the toss. Now, speaking of the match, West Indies won the toss and asked India to bat first. However, India went with Sanju Samson, Ravi Bishnoi, and Deepak Hooda in playing XI for the match.

India won the 4th T20I of the series by 59 runs against West Indies

Both Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav came out to open the innings for India. India started in style as they reached 53 runs in just 4.3 overs. But both the openers went in quick succession. Then, next batters like Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant, and others chipped in with some crucial contributions. Finally, India managed to put up a score of 191 runs by losing five wickets in 20 overs. Rishabh Pant was the highest scorer with 44 runs off 31 balls. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson remained not out after scoring 30* runs off 23 balls, including two boundaries and one six.

Now, in reply, West Indies batters failed to start well. Brandon King scored only 13 runs before losing his wicket to Avesh Khan. However, their batters failed to stitch any solid partnership throughout the innings. All Indian bowlers were over them as West Indies was struggling by scoring 117 runs in 15.3 overs. They even lost eight wickets by that time. Ultimately, they got bundled out for only 132 runs in 19.1 overs. India won the match by 59 runs and seal the series with one more match to go on 7 August 2022. Arshdeep Singh was impressive once again by picking up three wickets.
