The rise in popularity and attention in women’s cricket has gained speed after India’s run to the finals in the 2017 World Cup. Though India lost in the finals, it piqued the interest of the fans about women’s cricket. The current generation of players are enjoying the popularity and attention, but the credit of being flagbearers of Indian Women’s cricket during the leanest of patches goes to Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami.

These two are already greats of the game and their names will be remembered for a long time in cricket’s history.

The illustrious career of the two players will now be presented on screen as biographies. Mithali Raj took to Twitter on Friday to share the release date of her biography, ‘Shabaash Mithu.’ Actress Tapsee Pannu will be portraying Mitalhi Raj on screen in the film. The cricketer captioned her post with the lines – “There is nothing more powerful than a girl with a dream!
