Roger Federer is known as one of the most decorated players in Tennis. His achievements, throughout his career, have inspired many people. It also helped him to gain a huge global fanbase. On 8 August 2022, Federer turned 41 years old. However, in recent times, his fans missed him in action for the last two-and-a-half years due to a persistent knee injury. 

But, as per reports, he is looking to play in the Laver Cup in September 2022. Even after that, he will look to play in the Swiss Indoors Basel in October. Meanwhile, he already won this tournament 10 times in his illustrative career.

Roger Federer made his debut in Tennis at age of 16 in September 1997. He was 22 years old when he won his first Grand Slam at Wimbledon. Currently, he is the only player in tennis history who has won 6+ titles in 7 different tournaments. Till now, Federer has won 20 Grand Slam titles across different courts.

Among those 20 titles, he won 8 Wimbledon titles, 6 Australian Open titles, 4 US Open titles, and a solitary French Open title. This Swiss superstar has reached the Grand Slam Finals 31 times. In those opportunities, he managed to win on 20 occasions and lost on 11 occasions. Among the available players, he is now in the third position with 20 Grand Slam titles. Novak Djokovic is second (21 titles) while Rafael Nadal tops teh chart with 22 titles. Roger Federer has a record of being the No. 1 for 237 consecutive weeks. Currently, he is tied for 803rd rank as he did not participate in any tournament due to his injury in 2022.

Apart from Tennis, he also looks to contribute to various philanthropic causes. Federer established the Roger Federer Foundation in 2003. His mission was to help underprivileged children in Switzerland and southern Africa, primarily through educational projects. Along with his sporting abilities, Federer’s actions outside of the court also inspired his fans.
