Ruturaj Gaikwad, an Indian cricketer, who just helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) win their fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) championship, wed her longtime partner Utkarsha Pawar on Saturday. Notably, Pawar is a Maharashtrian cricketer, who has played for the state’s national team. “From the pitch to the altar, our journey begins!” Gaikwad captioned the ceremony’s photos.

He selected an amazing costume by renowned designer Manish Malhotra for the reception: an ivory sherwani with embroidered details, a set of nightgowns to match, and a dupatta placed on one of his shoulders. Gaikwad accessorized the look with an organized pearl neckpiece and a white saafa with an attached brooch. The green beads on the necklace gave his otherwise plain appearance some pop colour.

On the other side, Utkarsha, dressed in a gorgeous white chikankari lehenga by Pallod Creations, was a sight to see. A basic transparent zari dupatta and a matching blouse with a v-neck and beads dangling from the hemline completed the look. She chose a similar pair of earrings, bangles, and a stone-studded gold necklace as her jewellery. She added to the glitter by wearing soft nude makeup, which included sleek eyeliner, delicate eyeshadow, flushed cheeks, and nude brown lip colour. Utkarsha let her hair open in gentle curls.

Before this, the pair chose complementary clothing for the wedding. Utkarsha was a stunning Marathi mulgi wearing a matching blouse and a green Banarasi sari with golden patterns all over it. She chose matching earrings, a pair of rings, a stack of bangles, a nose ring, and many neckpieces made of gold to complete her look. Pink eye shadow, kohled eyes, flushed cheeks, and a sheer pink lip colour finished off her gajra-adorned bun of hair.

Gaikwad, meantime, was a stylish groom dressed in a cream sherwani, a green dupatta with golden borders, matching green pyjamas, and a saafa. Ambati Rayudu, Shikhar Dhawan, Axar Patel, Deepak Chahar, and Shreyas Iyer, among others, sent well wishes for the newlyweds in the comment section.
