Renowned Indian cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle surprised the UP franchise batter Grace Harris with a burger during the Women’s T20 League match between UP and Delhi. The latter wasn’t part of the playing XI during the match with Delhi. Bhogle took an interview of her from the dugout and gifted her a Burger.

After UP’s first match against Gujarat, the Aussie revealed that Burger is her favorite food. She also spoke about not being able to find it in India. She further said that maybe she has to settle for Butter Chicken instead.

Harris was the star of the Lucknow-based team’s win against Gujarat. She remained unbeaten on 59 off 26 balls chasing a total of 170 runs, hitting seven fours and three sixes. She added 70 runs with Sophie Ecclestone after their side was reduced to 105 for 7.

UP lost to Delhi by a big margin

Despite the match-winning performance in the first match, the 29-year-old was benched against Delhi. She was replaced by the South African fast-bowler Shabnim Ismail, and it was the large call according to the skipper Alyssa Healy.

“We are going to have a bowl. Little bit of green which is rare in India. We have made a large call, Grace Harris sits out and Ismail comes in. We have made an impact call and hopefully Ismail does that tonight,” said Healy at the time of the toss.

“We have some talented local Indian players and that is a benefit. The belief within the group is there and it will be tested tonight against a good Delhi side,” she further added.

However, the Yellow brigade couldn’t continue their momentum against the in-form Delhi side. India’s national capital-based side amassed a mammoth total of 211 for 4, powered by the fiery 70-run knock by the skipper Meg Lanning off 42 deliveries. Jess Jonassen gave the finishing touches with 42 runs off just 20 balls. In reply, Uttar Pradesh was restricted to 169 for 5, losing the game by 42 runs. Tahila McGrath tried her best by remaining unbeaten on 90 runs off 50 balls. However, her efforts went in vain as none of the other batters could make any impact.

Delhi registered their second consecutive win in the tournament after they defeated Bangalore by 60 runs earlier. They are currently in the second position at the points table, while UP remains in the third position. Mumbai is on the top with two big wins from the first two matches, while Bangalore and Gujarat are still looking for their first win, as they remain in the fourth and fifth position respectively.
