Babar Azam unfazed amidst ‘sexting’ rumor on social media

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is surrounded by an off-the-field controversy. Apparently, an Instagram user made some incriminating claims against the right-hander. However, even though his fans are calling it fake, some renowned journalists in Pakistan have provided ‘fuel to the fire’ as they started tweeting about it. Meanwhile, Azam is completely unfazed by the looks of it as suggested by his latest Twitter post.
The 2017 Champions Trophy winner posted a picture of himself and wrote ‘Doesn’t take too much to be happy’. It is a clear indicator that the latest controversy has had no impact on the Pakistan skipper’s life so far. It will be interesting to see how these things turned out. Babar might file a defamamtion case against the netizen making the claims. On the other hand, if those are proven too, this might be detremental for him.

Babar Azam’s position in the team is weakened: Misbah Ul Haq
Meanwhile, it is recently reported that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is looking to split the national side’s captaincy across formats. In the last month or so, the higher-ups aren’t happy with the team’s performance against England and New Zealand. For the first time in Pakistan’s history, they were clean sweeped by an away team in a Test series.
They faced the same against the Three Lions last December. Against New Zealand, the Test series ended 0-0 and lost the ODI series 2-1. Meanwhile, former Pakistan skipper, Misbah Ul Haq claims that Babar Azam might be losing his grip over the team inside the dressing room.
“Cricket is my blood and I watch cricket matches and read about cricket all the time. And from what I see Babar Azam’s position in the team is being weakened,” Misbah told reporters in Lahore.
“Look at some of the questions being asked to him, what do they indicate he is being weakened as a captain and I am afraid that will have adverse effects on the team’s dressing room.”
