Bangladesh and India will play a three-match ODI series starting on December 3. This series will be a preparation for both teams as they look toward the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Notably, both teams have nothing to lose from the series on two counts. One, the Men In Blue have already qualified for the tournament. Two, this series isn’t part of the ongoing Cricket World Cup Super League.

With preparations in mind, both teams would look to give their best as a team and players individually. Talking about the home side, Bangladesh, they had a decent run in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. They would like to build on it. On the other hand, the visitors, even though they reached the semis, need to work on a lot.

1. Shikhar Dhawan

The opening batter scored a decent 70-odd in the first ODI against New Zealand last month. Apart from that, he wasn’t able to carry his form in the third ODI with the second game washed out after only a few overs. The left-hander is one of the most prolific ODI players in the current era.

He would look to end his century drought that has been going on for the last few years. Also with the ODI World Cup coming in less than a year, he would love to get some big runs going.
