In the final stage of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23, a few players have registered their career-best figures, as they led their respective teams.

The Indian skipper and opening batsman Rohit Sharma has made it to the top of the list. In the 7 matches that he played in 2023, Rohit has put in 540 runs with 2 centuries and 2 fifties with an average of 49.09, following which he registered the highest score of 120 against Australia in Nagpur. 

Usman Khawaja became the top run-scorer in test cricket as he became the only batsman to score over 1000 runs in red Ball cricket in 2023. Usman put 1168 runs with 3 centuries and 6 fifties with an average of 43.43 as he registered the highest score of 195 not out. One of the top test-ranked Australian players Steve Smith had a good year as expected. Smith put 853 runs with 3 centuries and 2 fifties with an average of 42.65 as he registered the highest score of 121.
