India is currently locking horns with Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) final which is played at The Oval, in London. After three day’s play, the latter has dominated the final, as they have a lead of 296 runs after the end of play on day three.

Earlier, while batting first, Australia posted a huge total of 496 runs, where centuries were scored by Travis Head and Steve Smith. In response to Australia’s mammoth total, India was bundled out for 296 runs. The highest run scorer for the side was Ajinkya Rahane, who scored 89 runs. Shardul Thakur also played a pivotal innings of 51 runs.

India will try to restrict Australia on Day 4

On Friday, June 9, during Australia’s second innings in the last session, umpire Chris Gaffney was seen twisting Mohammad Shami’s arm. It took place after the completion of the 21st over when Shami was going back after completing his over. If we talk about Shami, he snapped two wickets in the first innings where he conceded 122 runs in his spell of 29 overs where he bowled four maiden overs.

Currently after the end of play on Day three, Australia have lost four wickets at a score of 123 runs. They, currently, lead by 296 runs in the match. Marnus Labuschange is batting on 41 runs off 118 balls with four boundaries, while on the other side, Cameron Green is batting on seven runs from 27 balls with one four.

For India, two wickets have been picked by star Indiaa all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in his spell of nine overs where he has conceded 25 runs and bowled three maiden overs. One wicket each was grabbed by Mohammad Siraj and Umesh Yadav. On Day 4, where on one side, Australia will try to increase their lead over India, on the other hand, India will try to bundled them out as soon as possible so that they not a have a big target to chase.
