Sachin Tendulkar is known as one of the best batters of all time in the history of the game from India. On the other hand, Brett Lee was famous for his sheer pace for Australia during his playing days. Whenever India played against Australia, these two players got involved in some interesting battles.

Fans also enjoyed those battles over the years. Now, on his YouTube Channel, Brett Lee opened up on their plan to get out Sachin early in his inning. He said about his first tour of India in 1999 when he bowled to Sachin for the first time. Lee also expressed the overwhelming support Indian fans showed for Tendulkar.

“When you are bowling to Sachin Tendulkar, you see that look in the eyes” – Brett Lee

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Lee said: “You see in his eyes, he wants it. When you are bowling to Sachin Tendulkar, you see that look in the eyes and it felt like the eye of the tiger. Someone who wants to get into the battle.”

Brett Lee also said that his Australian teammates warned him not to have a talk with him. “We as the Australian cricket team always said to each other, ‘don’t speak to Sachin Tendulkar on the field’. Because if you sledge him on the field, you know he will be out there batting forever. So we just tried to keep our mouth shut and get on with the game.” the former Aussie pacer recalled.

Speaking of both these players’ careers, Sachin Tendulkar Won the 50-over World Cup in 2011. While Brett Lee won that World Cup twice (2003, 2007). Brett Lee represented Australia in 322 matches across all three formats. He ended his career with 718 wickets. Meanwhile, Sachin played 664 matches for India across all three formats. In those matches, he scored 34357 runs, including 100 tons and 164 fifties. In his illustrative Test career, he scored a fantastic 241*-run knock off 436 balls against the Aussies in Sydney in 2004.
