India will play a cross-over game against New Zealand for a place in the quarterfinal

As discussed earlier, India hasn’t qualified for the quarterfinal. The 1975 winners need to win against New Zealand in the cross-over game to reach the last eight. The former World Champions needed to win by eight goals to ensure a table-top finish and a berth in the last eight. However, they could win by two goals only and they now need to win against the Kiwis. Notably, given India’s form since the Tokyo Olympics, it might not be a difficult task.
