Erik ten Hag is waiting to meet Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the new season
As per reports, the United coach is eagerly waiting to meet the Portuguese superstar. Ten Hag really wants him to stay as he considers Ronaldo an integral part of his squad. Earlier this week, he was asked if he is concerned with this whole Ronaldo situation. But, he blew away any issues. He said: “Concerning is maybe not the right word. I focus on the players who are there and they are doing really well. They are in good shape and I have further focused on that and developed that. I cannot wait for (Ronaldo) to come in and then we will integrate him.”
Since the start of the transfer window, it has been reported that Ronaldo wants to move out of this club as he wants to play in the Champions League. He is not even satisfied with the lack of quality transfer activities from the club. Several clubs like Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint Germain, and Atletico Madrid got linked to him also. However, they all rejected him so far. Even, Atletico Madrid fans started an online campaign to warn their club from signing him.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is still in the same position as they already said that he is not for sale at all. They are sure that Ronaldo will stay and serve the remaining one year of his contract at Old Trafford. Last season, Cristiano Ronaldo was the highest goalscorer for the club and the third-highest in the Premier League with 18 goals in 30 matches.
