When Deepti Sharma ran out Charlie Deen (Also known as Mankading), the world cricket started discussing whether it is fair. A lot of former and current English cricketers were questioning the fairness of ‘Mankading’. On the other hand, players from other countries supported Sharma wholeheartedly. Meanwhile, at a time when it felt like Sharma won’t be in discussion in relation to ‘Mankad’, Mitchell Starc has freshen up the discussion.

Apparently, in the fifth over of England innings in the third T20I, the Australia pacer bowled a dot ball to Dawid Malan. The latter tried to play a shot towards mid-off but the ball kissed the inside edge and rolled towards the bowler. Starc grabbed the ball and started moving back to his bowling mark. While doing so, he had a chat with Jos Buttler in regards to the latter advancing out of the crease.

Even though the left-arm pacer didn’t say it clearly, the way he pointed at the stumps at the non-striking suggested that he was warning the England captain. After a few seconds, the two-time World Cup winner, Starc, was heard saying “I am not Deepti, I won’t be do it But it doesn’t mean you can go off”. In reply, Buttler was heard saying “I don’t think I did”.

Talking about the game, it could produce a result due to persistent rain. The rains first impacted the game during the 10th over of the England’s innings. After a long time, the umpires decided to cut down the overs to 12-a-side. At the end of the innings, the Three Lions amassed 112/2. In reply, the Aussies had scored 30 runs in 3.5 overs and after losing three wickets. At this point, the rains arrived and it stayed long enough for the officials to call off the game.

This meant that the visitors could have the honors of clean-sweeping Australia in the shortest format of the game. England did it against the Ashes rivals in ODIs in a five-match series at home in 2018.
