Virat Kohli is currently busy playing the three-match ODI series against England. However, the series is at a stalemate as both teams have won one match each. But, Virat failed again as he scored only 16 runs off 25 balls in the second match. He missed the first match of the series due to a groin injury.

Since 2019, 77 International matches are gone where he failed to score a ton across all the formats for India. Hence, former cricketers started to raise questions regarding his continuous selection in the Team despite his poor run of form. Now, this Indian batter posted a significant post on his Instagram account.

Here is the shared post:

Speaking about the post, Virat posed with a popular social media quote, “What if I fall? Oh but my darling, what if you fly?”. In the caption of the image, he wrote ‘Perspective’. However, this post clearly suggests that he is still trusting his process while it can be a solid answer to his critics.

Apart from some criticism, his current skipper Rohit Sharma and Pakistan captain, Babar Azam came up in support of him. Even, former Pakistan legend Shoaib Akhtar slammed Kohli’s critics as he said that it was beyond his understanding to suggest Kohli get dropped from the Team. Akhtar also suggested Kohli for focusing on his batting only by avoiding all the ongoing criticism on social media platforms. For a long time, Kohli’s form has become a cause of concern for fans and some pundits. Former players like Irfan Pathan and Venkatesh Prasad also slammed Kohli for selectively choosing series.

Speaking about the coming series against West Indies, he did not get selected for the Tour as he demanded some rest from the Indian Cricket Board. Though as per reports, the Board wanted him to be a part of this full tour as India will play three ODIs and five T20Is there. As of now, he will be in action again for India when they will face England for the series decider at Manchester on Sunday (17 July 2022).
