On December 13, Arjun Tendulkar made his Ranji Trophy for Goa after switching teams with Mumbai a few months back. He decided to move after not getting any chances in the Mumbai setup. Meanwhile, in the ongoing game against Rajasthan, the junior Tendulkar made the most of his chance with the bat. The left-hander came out to bat after his side was reduced to 201/5 batting first.

However, he and Suyash Prabhudesai stitched a partnership of 221 runs for the fourth wicket. During the partnership, Arjun notched up to this maiden First Class hundred. Not to forget, Sachin did the same in his FC debut way back in 1988 against Gujarat. Meanwhile, former India wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik reacted to Junior Tendulkar’s century.

The former said that when he saw Arjun, he used to think that the youngster is a left-arm pacer who can bat a bit. Karthik added that getting a hundred is quite special and seems as if Arjun has worked a lot on his batting.

“I have seen Arjun quite a bit you know. He is more of a left-arm medium pacer who can bat a bit, but he definitely had credentials with the bat. You could see that he can hit a ball, but getting a hundred I think is quite special. Kudos to him, many more to team, we generally don’t associate Arjun Tendulkar with the bat but it is good knowing that he has worked hard on his batting,” Karthik said on a Cricbuzz show.
