On November 23, the Indian Cricket Board announced their squad for the three-match ODI series in Bangladesh. The series will start on December 4 and conclude on December 10. The first two games will be played in Mirpur while the last one will be held at Chattogram. Meanwhile, the board announced their squad and decided to rest the likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson.

On the other hand, the out of form players in T20I such as KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, etc made the cut with Rohit Sharma being the captain. Even though this looks like a selection blunder, the fans are taking it to a different angle. Apparently, they are accusing the board of Casteism. In other words, the fans feel that some players are discriminated against on the basis of their caste.

Suryakumar has been in sublime form in T20Is in the last few months. Since July this year, he has scored two hundred and many fifties with most of the innings helping the Men In Blue cross the line. On the other hand, Sanju has been getting limited opportunities. During the recently-concluded T20I series between New Zealand and India, the right-hander was ignored.

In response, the fans bashed the India Cricket Team management for ‘favoring’ out of form, Pant. Now, the Indian Cricket Board has dropped the Keralite from the ODI series with Yadav deemed to be rested. This has angered the fans and they are ripping apart the board.

Meanwhile, talking about the team, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is yet to recover from his knee injury. This is the reason he is not being picked. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh player, Yash Dayal sustained a back injury which is why he was ruled out.

India’s squad for Bangladesh ODIs:

Rohit Sharma (C), KL  Rahul (VC), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Shreyas Iyer, Rahul Tripathi, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ishan Kishan (WK), Shahbaz Ahmed, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Sen
