Fan who hugged Shadab Khan lands himself into a big trouble
Pakistan are enjoying an unassailable 2-0 lead over West Indies with one match left in the home series. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam displayed his top form over the two matches to ensure the lead over the Caribbeans. However, an interesting incident happened during the second ODI match in Multan on 10 June 2022.
In the second ODI, Pakistan batted first and put up a score of 275 runs by losing eight wickets. During that innings, a bizarre thing happened when a fan stormed into the field to meet Shadab Khan who was batting at the crease at that time. That fan ran down the field to meet his favourite cricketer and Shadab also did not disappoint. The Pakistan batter gave him a hug and that gesture made that fan’s day. After that, he again went back to the stand without creating any other issues.
FIR had been filed against the fan
However, this issue did not go well with the Multan Police as an FIR had been filed by Multan Police against him. This fan named Muhammad Waqas Ashraf ran into the field only to meet the Pakistan batter.
A Pakistan journalist shared this news on his Twitter account as the tweet goes: “FIR has been filed by Multan Police against a cricket fan Muhammad Waqas Ashraf who ran on the pitch during second ODI at Multan Cricket Stadium and hugged Shadab Khan. #PAKvWI”

As it stands, the fanboy moment for Muhammad Waqas Ashraf is getting turned into a nightmare as the Multan Police had been involved in it. Speaking about Shadab Khan’s form in this series, the all-rounder managed to take three wickets at an economy of 4.05. Thus, has been fairly decent in the series so far.
Shadab is currently playing the third one-dayer as Pakistan are taking on the West Indies side at the same ground with the motive of doing a clean sweep over the visitors.
