The FIFA World Cup 2022 is witnessing one of the greatest matches of all time and Saudi Arabia’s win against Argentina earlier in this tournament might stand as a prime example of the same. As things stand, Spain and Germany faced off against each other in the Group E match and both teams looked equally strong during the first half.

At the 30-minute mark, the scoreline remained at 0-0, and Germany faced a possible exit from the tournament as they eventually failed to get a goal to their name in the first half. Spain, on the other hand, showed good discipline and dominated with the ball.

The Spaniards were holding possession for most of the first half, making things tougher for Germany. The Die Mannschaft, on the other hand, tried very hard to pull things back after losing momentum earlier and failed to convert their opportunities into a goal.

At the stroke of the first-half whistle, both teams remained goalless and it remained to be seen if either of them could make a comeback in the second half, given a possible loss could see Germany repeat their 2018 horror.

To add more, the Spaniards outclassed Germany in the second half, as Álvaro Morata produced the lead for the team in the 62nd minute and eventually, fans thought that Spain might take home the 3 points. However, it was a heartbreak for the Die Mannschaft as they hoped for a win, and eventually had to settle for a draw instead, making their hopes of making it through to the next round look bleak. Concerning Germany’s comeback, it was Niclas Füllkrug who produced the equaliser in the 83rd minute and gave slight hope of making it to the knockouts to the country’s fans.

Spain, on the other hand, would hope to take the positives from the game and would await the start of the next stage, although they will have to play yet another group-stage match against Japan on December 2, Friday. The La Furia Roja would be delighted to take home 1 point from their clash against Germany and would hope to carry on with the form in the game against Japan. Germany, on the other hand, would be disappointed to be in a tough position as they are highly likely to crash out of the tournament.
