4. Ricky Ponting (3.5 crore)
The former Australia skipper has coached two teams in the Indian T20 League so far. His first stint as a coach was with Mumbai from 2014-2016. In this period, the team won the trophy for the second time in 2015. Apart from that, they qualified for the playoffs in 2014. In 2018, he joined the Delhi team and the team has shown massive improvements during his tenure. In 2019, the team qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2012. Next year, they played the final for the first time, followed by another playoff qualification last year.
5. Mahela Jayawardene (2.3 crores)
The former Sri Lanka skipper was appointed by Mumbai in 2017. Under his tenure, the team won the title in 2017, 2019, and 2020. The Rohit Sharma-led side became the second team to defend their title after Chennai under his tenure.
