2. Moeen Ali
Moeen Ali, in the last season, played a very important role in Chennai’s title-winning effort. His antics last year were rewarded with him being retained by the franchise.
His aggressive approach at the top changed the momentum of the matches in most cases and put Chennai in an advantageous position. He was good with the ball in hand also. In the 15 matches that he played, Moeen scored 357 runs at a strike rate of 137.3 and also picked up 6 wickets. This year also, Moeen Ali will look to repeat his performance for the team and help them defend their title.
