‘Har bar naya maal lake darrate hai’ – Fans react as Australia pacer Scott Bolland is set to play Test Championship final against India

After the completion of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Monday, May 29, India will lock horns with Australia in the final of the Test Championship, which is scheduled to take place from June 7 to June 11 at The Oval, in Southampton. This will be the second consecutive Test Championship Final for the Indian side.

According to reports, star Australia bowler, Scott Boland is set to represent his national side in the final as the conditions prefer fast bowlers. Having made his debut against England in 2021, the 34-year-old has been in outstanding form, claiming 28 wickets in seven Test matches. Boland’s recent achievements have made him a genuine candidate for the final, despite the fact that he hasn’t played a Test in English conditions and was without a wicket in his only match against India.

Meanwhile, Hazlewood left the IPL 2023 early owing to side pain since he was unable to be selected for the Test series in India because of an Achilles injury. In each of the previous two summers spent at home, he also had side strains. He has already stated that medical staff and selectors must carefully consider when to allow him to return to play while he is still bowling, thus it seems doubtful he would be pushed back for the Test championship final.
