Harbhajan Singh Shares A Helping Hand In Rescuing A 21-year-old Bathinda Girl In Oman

Harbhajan Singh is known as one of the great spinners of all time in Indian Cricket history. In recent times, he joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in teh political field. That party nominated him to Rajya Sabha. Now, he came up with a helping hand to rescue a little girl in Oman.
He played a significant role in Oman to rescue a 21-year-old Bathinda girl Kamaljeet Kaur. Kamaljeet’s employees illegally held and manhandled her. Even, two Omani women confiscated Kamaljeet’s passport and sim card. Harbhajan Singh got an opportunity to perform a bigger duty and he managed to do with the help of the Indian Embassy in Oman.

Speaking to PTI, Harbhajan Singh said that the Indian Embassy helped a lot in rescuing that girl. He said: “This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the Indian Embassy in Oman and our Ambassador Mr. Amit Narang. His contribution has been invaluable.”
Former Indian spinner added: “As far as my intervention is concerned, this Rajya Sabha seat is to help people in need and a daughter of our country was in need. I just did my job. It was very nice of Indian Embassy to call me up and inform me that Kamaljeet is back home in Punjab, safe and secured.”
About the incident, Kamaljeet said that the Indian embassy gave her a lot of confidence. She said: “An acquaintance of my uncle in Punjab knew MP Harbhajan Singh Ji. When he was told about me, he immediately got in touch with Indian Embassy. I can’t thank Harbhajan Ji enough. Unki bahot bada help raha aur unke phone ke baad mujhe Indian embassy se call aaya. (After Harbhajan called up, I got a call from Indian Embassy). Just three hours from my flight on September 3, they handed me my passport and sim card.” “They were very nice and cordial. They told me ki aapne agent ko paise kyon diye. Hum toh aapko waise hi chudha lete. The embassy officials also checked on me to enquire if I had reached home safely,” she concluded.
