Shreyas Iyer recently discussed his team’s dressing room’s energy during Australia’s tour of India in 2023. He also discussed that the youngsters have a lot of energy and play fearless Cricket which excites him. Iyer also discussed his comeback in Asia Cup and ODI World Cup 2023.

“It took time to acclimatize, but I have played with these boys before and they are filled with energy. So, when I entered the dressing room, I noticed everyone being in their zone and enjoying their time. I love being around them and you get to learn a lot, especially the way they play fearless cricket and the attitude that they showed right from ball one,” said Shreyas Iyer on JioCinema.

“Straight after the Asia Cup, I had a set routine for myself right from Match No.1. I used to follow my programs and routines. I did not want any mis-adjustment happening in the middle. I kept things as simple as possible and not complicated things. Trainers helped me perform at the biggest stage and I carried forward the confidence in the series,” he added.

Suryakumar Yadav on India’s series win against Australia

Indian team’s interim T20 captain for the series, Suryakumar Yadav talked about the team’s performance throughout the series. In the post-match ceremony after winning the series against Australia, he said, “It was a good series. The way the boys showed their skills was commendable. We wanted to be fearless, we wanted to enjoy when we were in the middle. I told them, “do whatever is right and just enjoy your game,” and they did the same. So very happy with that.

The right-hander further added, “If he (Washington Sundar) would have been there it’d have been an add-on. At Chinnaswamy, 200+ is easier to chase. 160-175 is a tricky told here. After 10 overs, I told the boys that we have a game on.”
