After registering a 2-1 victory in T20I as well as the ODI series against England, India has flown to West Indies for an eight-match white-ball series.

India and West Indies will clash in three ODIs as well as five T20Is in the Island country. The first match of the tour starts on July 22nd. Let’s look at the match details for the same.

India vs West Indies Team News:

India: India steamrolled England in the T20I series but the home country gave a good fight in the ODIs. With Rishabh Pant coming out as the hero of the final match, India won the ODI series by a 2-1 margin as well.

The Bowling unit has come out as a big positive from the England tour while top-order batting has shown signs of concern in recent times. The Men in Blue would be without the services of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant. New returnee Shikhar Dhawan takes charge of the captaincy in ODIs. India will be going into the game as favourites.

West Indies: West Indies, on the other hand, appear to be a confused team in the ODI. They are yet to strike a perfect balance between defending and attacking, something that they are able to do perfectly in Tests and T20Is.

Although India are playing a second-string side, West Indies will find winning the series incredibly tough. Nicholas Pooran will be leading the Carribean team.
