Rajasthan will square up against Chennai in the 68th match of the Indian T20 League on Friday at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Chennai are already out of the knockouts and will be playing the last match of the league stage. They would look to end the tournament on a winning note.

However, Rajasthan, 0n the other hand, have secured a place in the qualifiers. However, this game too is very important for them as a win can take them to the number two position on the table. Rajasthan are coming into the contest on the back of a 24-run win over Lucknow.

Chennai:

Chennai were bundled out for just 133 runs in the last game but you expect a similar batting line-up in the next game as well. Conway and Gaikwad will have the responsibility of giving a strong start. For Mukesh Chaudhary and Simranjeet Singh, it will their last opportunity to leaving a lasting impression with the ball. Besides, Matheesha Pathirana is also expected to be part of the playing XI.

Devon Conway is likely to open the innings alongside Gaikwad in the last match as well. In the last game, he got out cheaply but has been in pretty good form. He is expected to play a stellar knock with the bat.

  1. Ruturaj Gaiwkad:

Ruturaj Gaikwad hasn’t managed to replicate the performances he showcased in the last game but he has played a few notable innings. Gaikwad would be looking to give them a strong start and set the foundation for a big score.

  1. Matheesha Pathirana

The Sri Lankan seamer played his first match for Chennai in the last game. He impressed and one and with his raw pace and accuracy. He returned with figures of 2 for 24 in 3.1 overs and will be a player to watch out for on Friday.

Devdutt Padikkal looked in supreme touch in the last match. Coming in at number four, he played aggressively and went on to score 39 runs in just 18 deliveries, including 5 fours and 2 sixes. He will be a player to watch out for.

Sanju Samson, too, has been in good touch and is due for a big knock. He made 32 runs in 24 balls in the last match before throwing it away. Samson has managed to score 359 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 153.42. He will be a player to watch out for.
