 India’s Schedule For Day 8 Of Commonwealth Games 2022

India’s journey in the Commonwealth Games 2022 has been great so far. India managed to grab 18 medals (5 gold, 6 silver, 7 bronze) so far. However, many upsets have occurred also in this year’s mega event along with some surprising medal-winning events. Now, ahead of Day 8, Indian athletes will look to add more to their tally as the Indian fans will hope for more glory.

Indian wrestlers will be in action on Day 8 of the Commonwealth Games 2022. Over the years, wrestlers have performed well in mega events for India. So, this time around also, they will look to replicate such performance to bring more glory to this year’s mega event. Apart from it, actions will be there on Table Tennis and Badminton also. 

Here is the full schedule for Indian Athletes on Day 8 of the Commonwealth Games 2022:

Table Tennis and Para Table Tennis (2 – 8:30 PM IST) 

Manika/Diya Parag vs Rheann/Catherine in Women’s Doubles, Round of 32. Sharath Achanta, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, and Sanil Shetty in Men’s Singles, Round of 32. Along with them, Sreeja/Reeth vs Lucy/Rebecca in Women’s Doubles, Round of 32.

Badminton (3:30 PM IST)

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty in Men’s doubles, Preliminary Round of 16. On the other hand, Gayathri Gopichand/Treesa Jolly in Women’s doubles, Preliminary Round of 16. 

Athletics and Para Athletics (2:30 PM -11:00 PM IST) 

Jyothi Yarraji in Women’s 100m Hurdles, Round 1. While, DP Manu and Rohit Yadav in Men’s Javelin Throw, Qualification Rounds. Noah Nirmal Tom/Amoj Jacob/Naganathan Pandi/Mohammed Anas in Men’s 4 X 400m Relay, Round 1. 

Meanwhile, Ancy Sojan in Women’s Long Jump, Qualification Rounds. Even, Abdulla Aboobacker, Eldose Paul, and Praveen Chitravel in Men’s Triple Jump, Qualification Rounds.

Wrestling (3:00 PM IST)

Women’s Freestyle, Preliminary Rounds Quarter-finals Semi-finals, and Repechage

Divya Kakran is in the 68kg category while Sakshi Malik is in the 62kg category. Anshu Malik is in the 57kg category.

Men’s Freestyle, Preliminary Rounds Quarter-finals Semi-finals, and Repechage

Deepak Punia is in the 86kg category while Mohit Dahiya is in the 125kg category. Bajrang Punia is in the 65kg category.
