 India’s Schedule For Day 9 Of Commonwealth Games 2022

Indian athletes are continuing to impress their fans in this year’s Commonwealth Games so far. As of now, India has managed to grab 20 medals across various events (6 golds, 7 silvers, and 7 bronzes). Now, ahead of Day 9 in this mega event, Indian athletes will look to win more glory in several sports like Wrestling and Boxing.

Speaking of the upcoming actions, Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Vinesh Phogat will be in action in their respective categories. Boxers will be in action in their respective semi-finals as they have already assured medals on Day 8. Hence, Indian athletes will look to add more medals to the overall tally.     

Here is the full schedule for Indian Athletes on Day 9 of the Commonwealth Games 2022:

Athletics and Para Athletics (2:30 – 11 PM IST)

Dutee Chand/Hima Das/Srabani Nanda/Siml Noormblakal Samuvel will look for glory in the Women’s 4 X 100m Relay. Priyanka Goswami and Bhawna Jat will participate in the Women’s 10km Race Walk, Final. 

On the other hand, Sharmila, Santosh, and Poonam Sharma will be in action in Women’s Shot Put F55-57, Final. While Avinash Sable will be in Men’s 3000m Steeplechase, Final and Men’s 5000m, Final respectively.

Wrestling (3 PM IST)

Pooja Sihag will fight in Women’s Freestyle 76kg. Ravi Kumar Dahiya will be in action in Men’s Freestyle 57kg. Along with them, Naveen will be in Men’s Freestyle 74kg. In Men’s Freestyle 97kg, Deepak will be there. Pooja Gehlot and Vinesh Phogat will fight in the Women’s Freestyle 50kg and 53kg categories respectively.

Women’s Cricket (3:30 PM IST)

England vs India, Semi-finals

Boxing (3 – 11:30 PM IST)

Nitu Ganghas will be in action in Women’s Over 45kg – 48kg (Minimum), Semi-finals. However, in the Women’s Over 48kg – 50kg (Light Fly), Semi-finals, Nikhat Zareen will participate. Apart from these two, Mohammad Hussamuddin will be in action in Men’s Over 54kg – 57kg (Feather), Semi-finals. Meanwhile, Boxers have already assured of a medal by qualifying for the semi-finals in this year’s mega event.
