Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir always remains in the headlines due to his controversial statement about his own country’s players. Meanwhile, the speedster is currently in action in the ongoing Legends League Cricket in Doha where many legendary cricketers from all around the world are clashing against each other. Amir is also the youngest cricketer to play in the league as he is just 30 years old.

However, during an exclusive conversation with a news reporter in Doha, Amir spoke openly on all issues from his return to international cricket to playing the Indian T20 League, and also talked about many new things related to cricket. Apart from this, Aamir also revealed that at this time, who does he think is the best batter in all three formats of the game?

In a Rapid Fire segment, the former Pakistan fast bowler said that Joss Buttler is the best T20 batter in the present era because he is explosive and the most dangerous opener in the shortest format. After this, Amir surprisingly said that Virat Kohli is currently the best batter.

Mohammad Amir retired from international cricket in 2020

Meanwhile talking about the Test format, Amir said that, in the present era, the best batter of Test cricket is Pakistan captain Babar Azam. However, many fans didn’t like Amir’s opinion as Babar performed exceptionally well in the white ball format rather than the red ball cricket. On the other hand, some fans were also surprised because his relations with Babar are not good as he was seen criticising Babar many times.

The left-arm fast bowler is one of the best swing bowlers in the world, but in the early stages of his career, he got caught in serious allegations like match-fixing and was banned. Although Amir returned after the end of the ban, and also performed well for Pakistan, but due to internal issues in the Pakistan Cricket Board, his place in the team was never confirmed and he eventually ended up taking retirement in 2020.
