In the 24th game of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) locked horns against four times champion, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswammy Stadium, in Bangalore on Monday, April 17. Both the team won two matches out of the four they have played so far in the ongoing cash-rich league.

Recently, in an interview, star CSK all-rounder, Moeen Ali stated that the process, not the outcome, is what matters, according to team skipper MS Dhoni. If the team executes the process correctly, the outcomes will undoubtedly follow. Before Monday night’s Southern derby between RCB and CSK at the M Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru, Moeen asserted that he had a great time playing here before with Virat’s team.

The one thing with CSK is that it is not always about the result: Moeen Ali

In a video posted on CSK’s social media handle, the star England all-rounder opened up on his time in the RCB side and playing at M. Chinnaswammy Stadium before joining the Chennai Super Kings team. “When I played for RCB here against CSK, I remember there being more yellow shirts actually for the first time. The crowd is amazing here. It’s an amazing stadium. Really good fans. It’s more of a local derby, which is always a big game and a game that we always look forward to,” Ali was quoted as saying.

“The one thing with CSK is that it is not always about the result, it’s about the process and that takes care of the result. You are not going to always win. One thing we know that for MS the process is really important. If we do that well, we will most of the games. That’s how you really come back from losing,” the left-hand batter added.

In the IPL, CSK has defeated RCB in 19 of the 30 games played, while the record at the Bangalore’s stadium is 4-4. As a result, Chennai has won three of their past four encounters.
