Virat Kohli’s lack of form is the talk of the cricketing fraternity for quite some time now. The highest run-scorer in the history of the Indian T20 League is having a torrid time in the 15th edition of the tournament. He has scored only 128 runs from nine innings in the tournament at an average of just 16. Fans and experts have expressed concerns about the star’s lack of form.

Former Indian cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra has commented on Kohli’s terrible time. He feels that it is tough being in the shoes of Virat Kohli at the moment. He also termed Kohli’s torrid run as a nightmare that is unfolding in front of millions.

Virat Kohli is living a nightmare, for some the nightmare gets over, the bad times get over. This nightmare is unfolding in front of millions of people. It is tough being Virat Kohli right now. PERIOD. The kind of attention that he gets,”- Aakash Chopra said during a conversation with India Today.

Virat is currently having the worst season in Indian T20 League in his career. While he is unable to score runs the bigger concern is he is looking completely out of touch. The modes of his dismissal have also been a talking point. Adding to his point Chopra said that despite the man trying everything, nothing seems to work for the batter. Notably, Kohli’s last century in competitive cricket was in November 2019 against Bangladesh. He has also been dismissed within the first ten balls of his innings six times out of the nine innings he has played in the Indian T20 League 2022.

“Today, I felt that his bat was made of edges. There was no fiddle. He got a couple of boundaries. He is trying everything. He is going hard at the ball. He is taking his time. But it’s just not working out. Two first-ball ducks. He has been dismissed six times in the first 10 balls.”-Chopra added further.
