A shocking incident took place in Pakistan as thieves broke into the house of the former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez and stole a whopping $20,000 (INR 16 Lakh). The incident took place on the night of March 8. As per the police investigation, the robber broke into the cricketer’s residence and took the foreign currency with them in the form of cash. Hafeez and his wife were not present at the house when the incident took place. One of Hafeez’s relatives, Shahid Iqbal filed a police complaint regarding the robbery.

Hafeez is currently playing for the Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing Pakistan Super League. The former Pakistani batter retired from the international in 2021. He has played 55 Tests, 218 ODIs and 119 T20Is for Pakistan scoring 12,780 runs across the formats. He is also the third-highest run-scorer in PSL history.

Quetta Gladiators pulled off their highest chase in T20 cricket

Recently his PSL team Quetta pulled off an unbelievable chase in a recent match against Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi powered by the disastrous century by Jason Roy. Peshawar scored a mammoth total of 240 for 2 in their 20 overs as the skipper Babar Azam scored a magnificent hundred. He got out after scoring 115 runs off 65 balls including 15 four and three sixes. He also added 162 runs with Saim Ayub (74 off 34) for the first wicket.

Coming to chase a big total, Roy completely overshadowed Babar’s century with his blistering knock of 145 runs off just 63 balls. The England batter remained unbeaten scoring 20 fours and five maximum. He finished the game with a six as Quetta registered a victory by 8 wickets with 10 balls remaining chasing 241. Hafeez also played a handful knock as he remained unbeaten on 41 runs from just 18 balls scoring six fours and two sixes. Quetta registered the third-highest chase in the history of T20 cricket. The Gladiators hit a total of 30 fours and 10 sixes in the match.

A total of 483 runs were scored in 38.2 overs in a run-fest at the Pindi Club Ground. The bowlers didn’t had a great time as only four wickets were scalped in both innings.
