In the ongoing second Test between Bangladesh and India, both teams have given a tough time to each other with the ball. After winning the toss, the home team, Bangladesh decided to bat first. They were bowled out for 227 after Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin took four wickets each. On the other hand, Jaydev Unadkat took two. In reply, India got into trouble with the bat.

They lost four wickets for a score of 94. Players such as Shubman Gill (20), Cheteshwar Pujara (24), and Virat Kohli (24) got starts but failed to convert them into a big scores. At 94/4, the team needed their next batters to step up. At the time of writing, wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer have stood and stitched a partnership of 97 runs and counting.

Talking about Pant, he has hit 68 runs off just 77 balls and counting and has left behind his poor form with the bat in other formats. In the last few months, the left-hander was facing criticism because of his poor returns with the bat in white-ball cricket. However, for the time being, the former India U19 player has managed to mellow down the criticism as he has performed in a time of need.
