Kevin Pietersen warns Erik ten Hag regarding the Cristiano Ronaldo situation

On Twitter, Pietersen wrote a saying to compare both the player and coach of Manchester United. He also warned ten Hag to handle the whole situation in a gentle way. He wrote: “A great saying – if you’re going to play a game of cat and mouse, make sure you’re not the mouse. Can someone in Manchester please tell Erin ten Hag that he’s the mouse in his standoff with the BOSS, @Cristiano!”

Speaking of that incident, Erik ten Hag said that not only Ronaldo, but many other players also left the stadium earlier in that match. He said that as a team and squad, every player needs to stay until the end of a match.

Speaking through Viaplay, he said: ‘‘There were many more who went home. I certainly don’t condone this. This is not acceptable. For everyone. I told them that it was unacceptable. That we are a team, a squad, and that you should stay until the end.’’ Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to be seen for United on 7 August 2022 as they will take on Brighton in the season opener at Old Trafford.
