After dating for a few years, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty have gotten married. The event took place at the bride’s father, and Bollywood superstar, Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala, around 80 km from Mumbai. The event started at 4 PM on January 23. A few hours after the wedding, Rahul uploaded pictures of the event on his Twitter handle. It was captioned “In your light, I learn how to love…” Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness,” KL wrote on his Twitter handle

Talking about Athiya, she is also an actress like her dad. She made her debut in 2015 with Nikkhil Advani-directed “Hero”, a remake of co-producer Subhash Ghai’s 1983 classic of the same name. Apart from this, she appeared in “Mubarakan” and “Motichoor Chaknachoor” alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

KL Rahul will return to cricket ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Series

Meanwhile, the India Test team’s vice-captain has taken a break from the game for the event. Last December, it was reported that he won’t be available for the white-ball series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. However, the right-hander played the ODIs while being rested for the T20Is against the Lankan Lions.

Meanwhile, ahead of the ongoing series against the Kiwis, he has been rested. India has played two games of the ODI series already and will play the last one on January 24. After this, both India and New Zealand will play a three-match T20I series. Rahul won’t be playing this series. He will be available for selection ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy next month.
