India appears to have faced a huge setback in the run-up to the highly anticipated final match against Australia when their captain, Rohit Sharma, was injured during a practice session. Rohit Sharma will go down in history if India defeats Australia in the World Test Championship 2023 final. He will also join the ranks of renowned Indian cricketers Kapil Dev and Ajinkya Rahane. Rohit has four victories in six Tests as captain, and a win against Australia would take him over Kapil and Rahane, cementing his place among the most successful Test captains.

Meanwhile, ahead of the prestigious game on Wednesday, Indian Team Management organized an optional practice session. Most of the players didn’t participate however skipper Rohit Sharma and some other senior players opted to attend the session. It’s worth noting that, on Monday wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan also got struck on his left hand during the practice session.
