On 31 August 2022, India took on Hong Kong in their second match of this year’s Asia Cup. India won the match by 40 runs and sealed their place in the super four of the tournament. Suryakumar Yadav came up with a sensational inning with the bat. Hence, he was the player in the match also.

Hong Kong players showed a great fight. They scored 152 runs by losing five wickets during their chase of 193 runs. Meanwhile, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was not happy with his team’s bowling performance. Fans were also expecting to get all the wickets of Hong Kong. Now, former Pakistan player, Mohammed Hafeez came up with a bizarre take on Rohit.

Here is the shared video:

“I thought it was a very weak body language.” – Mohammed Hafeez on Rohit Sharma

In a video released on his official Twitter profile, the former Pakistan skipper said that Rohit Sharma’s body language was very weak. He said: “Look at his expression. This was after the match was over, India won by 40 runs. I am talking about the body language when Rohit Sharma walked out for the toss. I thought it was very weak body language. He looked scared and confused. From what I have observed during the match, captaincy is adding a lot of pressure on Rohit Sharma. He is facing a lot of problems.”

He also added that he also had a bad Indian T20 League last year. “Indian T20 League did not go well for him and after Indian T20 League, he hasn’t been able to regain the flow in international cricket. Also, the pressure of leading India. He has been saying a lot of things about the brand of cricket, we will play positively… this and that, but it’s not reflected in the way the team is playing. It’s not reflected by his own body language. It’s easy to talk but to do it and show it on the field is difficult.”

“He won’t continue as captain for long. His form and all things that are going on with him, from what I can see… I was also a captain, so if you are under pressure when leading the side. I have seen Rohit on a lot of occasions, he enjoys himself but now he is not expressing himself. A lot of things are going on in his mind, he is under pressure and I feel sorry for him.” Mohammed Hafeez concluded.
