‘Multiverse of madness’ – Fans can’t keep calm as Ravindra Jadeja addresses Sanjay Manjrekar as ‘Dear Friend’

The beef between India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar isn’t new for Indian cricket fans. This started ahead of the 2019 ODI World Cup semifinal between India and New Zealand. Ahead of the game, Manjrekar has called Jadeja ‘a bits and pieces player’. In reply, the all-rounder said “Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I am still playing. Learn to respect people who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea.”
Since then, nothing has been right between the duo. Not to forget, there have been occasions where the former India cricketer called for Jadeja’s exclusion from certain games. On the other hand, the 2013 Champions Trophy winner has replied with performances and refrained from giving statements. Meanwhile, after more than three years of the incident, the 33-year-old took a dig at Sanjay.
Apparently, the latter was conducting the post-match presentation after a game of the ongoing Legends League Cricket tournament. The 2008 U19 World Cup took a photo of his television screen which included Manjrekar and uploaded it on Twitter. The former captioned the image “Watching my dear friend on screen @sanjaymanjrekar.”

The tweet surprisingly received a reply from Sanjay Majrekar. He said, “Ha ha… and your dear friend looking forward to seeing you on the field soon.”

Apparently, the left-handed all-rounder got injured during the Asia Cup 2022. Since then, he has been away from the game and has been ruled out of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. It will be interesting to see when he makes a full recovery and comeback in the national side. Also, it will be interesting to see if Jadeja and Manjrekar have sorted out their differences.
