Mumbai City FC is having a dream run in the ongoing season of the Indian Super League. So far, they have played 15 games, won 12, and drawn two. The islanders are yet to lose a game in the season. Also, they have their last 10 games on the trot. Notably, Arsenal, one of the top clubs in the English Premier League was invincible during the 2003-04 season.

19 years back, the top English club won 26 games and drew 12 to win the title undefeated. Now, the record might not remain intact as the Mumbai side can become an invincible side as Arsenal did in 2003-04. Given their current form, the ISL 2022-23 table-toppers can actually break the record. Their next game will be against Jamshedpur who is in the second spot from last.

Right now, our focus is on the next game: Jorge Diaz

Reacting to the scenario, the club’s highest scorer Jorge Diaz has downplayed the anticipation. He said that the team’s entire focus is on the game against Jamshedpur. On the other hand, one of the fans of the team said that he wants the team to keep playing this way.

“I want them to be Invincibles because they are playing beautiful and swift football this season, and I have not seen any other club in India play like that. I hope they remain unbeaten till the end. Fingers crossed,” said a fan of the Islanders.

“As of now, we are unbeaten. Right now, the focus is on [the next game], and after that, the focus will shift to the next match,” Jorge Diaz said.
