Australia is currently busy playing the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe at home conditions. However, on 31 August 2022, they claimed the series with one more match to go. But, they will be eager to perform well again in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, they are the defending champions of this tournament after winning the last edition. Hence, in home conditions, they will look to replicate such performance again. On the other hand, Tim David has impressed everyone so far by showcasing his talent in different leagues around the globe. Now, reports are there that he can get a call-up to the final squad of Australia for the next T20 World Cup.

According to the reports of The Age, Tim David is going to be added to the final squad of Australi for the next T20 World Cup. Hence, this inclusion will help them to be more stable and stronger in the middle-order batting line-up.

Eyebrows were raised when the Mumbai franchise bought him in the last edition of the Indian T20 League. However, he impressed everyone with his overall ability, especially his six-hitting ability. While batting down the order, he smashed 186 runs in eight innings, at an average of 37.20. He scored those runs at a strike rate of 216.27, including 12 boundaries and 16 sixes.

Till now, he played for Singapore in 14 matches. David has scored 558 runs so far. But, he was keen to play for Australia. Regarding that, he also had a talk with Australia’s chairman of selectors George Bailey. Now, reports are circulating that he is going to be a part of the Australian team for the next T20 World Cup. However, he will join the team as an uncontracted freelancer for Australia. Veteran batter, David Warner also experienced this when he made his T20I debut without a contract.
