‘Need for Speed-Umran Malik’-Umran Malik’s pace is the talk of the town

Lucknow and Hyderabad are locking horns at the DY Patil Stadium in the 12th match of the Indian T20 League 2022. Hyderabad won the toss and decided to field first.
Lucknow was rocked early in their innings as they were 27 for 3 down in inside 5 overs. While Lucknow was under pressure, Kane Williamson decided to unleash his young speedster from Kashmir, Umran Malik. He was introduced into the attack in the 7th over of the innings. Malik began the over with a delivery touching 148 kmph in the speed gun. He was pacy throughout the over with his slowest delivery of the over being a 140 kmph delivery. The youngster looked to possess raw and serious pace.
Indian bowlers bowling at such speed was a rare sight, earlier. But at present, the Indian team have a good assimilation of pace bowlers. The pace that Umran Malik displayed has certainly grabbed headlines. He is looked as another exciting prospect for India. The fact that Dale Steyn is the bowling coach for the Hyderabad team is even more encouraging.
