Former India skipper Virat Kohli and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam have often been compared by the cricket pundits in India and Pakistan. However, the international numbers of both players show a stark difference. Notably, the only similarity between the duo is that they are the best performers for their respective sides. Meanwhile, former Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq gave a straightforward verdict on the comparison.

He started by saying that there is no comparison between Babar and Kohli. The former added that the current Pakistan skipper is in his early days while Kohli has played a lot of cricket. Haq further added that no one can match Kohli at the moment and Babar needs to play a lot of cricket to achieve Kohli’s height.

“There shouldn’t be a comparison between the two. Kohli has played a lot of cricket, Babar is just starting. When Babar will play the same amount of cricket, then you can make a comparison. Kohli has played more cricket, and no one can match him at the moment. Yes, Babar is a class player and he might achieve the same things as Kohli in the future, but at the moment, comparison between the two doesn’t make sense because it’s just a start for Babar,” Misbah said to paktv.tv

There is no comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam: Salman Butt

In the same conversation, former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt also spoke on the topic. The left-hander said that both players are world-class cricketers but cannot be compared.

“Both are world class cricketers and top-notch performers. But there’s no comparison with Virat Kohli at this point of his career. Kohli has scored 74 international tons and he hasn’t scored a hundred in three years. Now you can imagine the magnitude of his performances,” Butt said to paktv.tv.
