On 25 September 2022, India took on Australia in Hyderabad for the three-match T20I series decider. Speaking of the series, Australia won the first match while India managed a comeback in the second match. So, the stage was set for an exciting finish to the series between these two cricketing giants.

However, Rohit Sharma won the toss and he asked Australia to bat first. But, during that Glenn Maxwell got out due to a controversial run out decision. As the umpire’s final decision did not go in favour of the Australia batter, he seemed unhappy. The video went viral as fans were also confused about the whole incident.

Dinesh Karthik broke the stumps even before the ball directly hit the stumps from Axar Patel

Speaking of the video, it was the fourth ball of the eight over. Chahal was bowling and Maxwell was batting. He hit the ball into the legside and tried for two runs. But, Axar Patel managed a rocket throw from the boundary line. The ball hit the stumps but wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik broke the stumps even before that.

So, fans were in confusion regarding the final decision. Still, the umpire decided that Maxwell will be out as one bail was still on the stumps when the ball hit it directly. But, the Australia batter was not happy at all as he was seen angry while walking back to the dugout. He scored six runs off 11 balls, including one four.

Speaking of Australia’s inning so far, Cameron Green brought carnage in Hyderabad. He scored 52 runs off 21 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. He smashed those runs at a staggering strike rate of 247.61. Then, other batters did not score so much as Australia lost track during the middle overs. As of now, Australia have scored 117 runs for six wickets in 14 overs. For India, Axar Patel has already bagged three wickets for 33 runs in four overs.
