‘Promo toh badhiya banaya hai’ – Fans react as Virat Kohli and other Indian superstars don new India team jersey by Adidas

Adidas had been named the official kit sponsor of the Indian Cricket Team from June 2023 to March 2028 as announced by the Indian Cricket Board. The three shirts were carried on wooden hangers from the pitch at the Wankhede Stadium by animated drones before being unfolded.

The kits in the video looked slick and professional without any additional sponsor brandings. What appeared to be part of the T20 shirt was to the left; it was a round-necked, dark blue shirt featuring a light circular design on the chest. The shirt in the middle, which had a collar and was bluer than the rest, was probably an ODI shirt. The word “INDIA” was inscribed in orange in the centre of both limited-edition kits, and the same shade was also utilised for each of the three stripes around each arm.

On the far right, where orange had been replaced by a royal-like blue, was the Test kit.The Indian Cricket Board logo was on the left of all three uniforms, with Adidas advertising on the right. On social media, kits drew a variety of early responses. While many fans thought the Test shirt was the most attractive of the bunch and resembled that of the football team Real Madrid, others made analogies to previous Indian ODI as well as T20I jerseys.

Several members of the Indian cricket squad, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah, wore the new Adidas team shirts. The Indian cricket team’s three new jerseys were unveiled by the sports clothing company across formats along with an exciting video that the Indian Cricket Board posted on social media. In the video, athletes could be seen elaborating on the significance of donning this jersey. On social media, images of the top cricketers donning their fresh jersey have become viral.
